BMW Tyres – Star Marked and Run Flat Options
BMW vehicles are engineered for precise handling, balanced weight distribution and responsive steering. Choosing the correct tyres is essential to maintain that performance.
Many BMW models are factory-fitted with run flat tyres and are designed to operate with this technology. These tyres feature reinforced sidewalls that allow limited driving after a loss of pressure. BMW vehicles also commonly use tyres marked with a star symbol, indicating they have been developed and approved specifically for BMW specifications.
Premium tyre brands frequently fitted to BMW models include the Michelin Pilot Sport 5, Pirelli P Zero, and Bridgestone Potenza, depending on the model and wheel size. These tyres are engineered to support braking performance, steering accuracy and stability at motorway speeds.
It is important to match load ratings, speed ratings and run flat compatibility when replacing BMW tyres. Not all vehicles can switch between run flat and standard tyres without checking manufacturer guidance.
At Modern Tyres, we supply and professionally fit BMW tyres in Ireland, ensuring correct sizing, approved specifications and precise wheel balancing.
